Margarethe Keith, (born 1942 in Chabařovice / ger. Karbitz). 


LIFE: 

Margarethe Keith studied at the Städelschule (HfbK Frankfurt) art college in Frankfurt am Main from 1965-70. At this time she received the scholarship of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (1968-70). Later in 1972 she received a "travel grant" (ger. Reisestipendium) and spend some time in Ekely bei Oslo. In 1976 she received the award and the scholarship of the Villa Massimo Rome. 1983 she received the 2nd award of the "Fragile Art" in the USA. 


From 1972 to 2010 Margerethe Keith has been very active in the field of church-and christian art. She showed her art in nummerous churches all over Germany.
